Our daughter is a global citizen. Her formative years were in the UK, Netherlands and Singapore. She has done her undergrad in Canada and did her Masters in UK. She is a responsible, motivated, rational and broad-minded. Despite growing up outside India she is well exposed to Indian culture and values and feels proud of her culture. Our family is currently based in Singapore but she is open to relocate
Nandini has grown up mostly in Singapore. After finishing her Bachelor's degree in Singapore, she has moved to the UK to do a PhD in Psychology. She is now in the second year of her PhD and aims to complete it in 2018. While she likes living in the UK, she is open to relocating outside of Asia after her PhD.
In her own words:
I am an open-minded, straightforward and confident woman. I consider myself to be independent and motivated. Having grown up in Singapore, I have a modern outlook on life but I still am moderately religious. My family is important to me. I strive to do my best in everything I do because I believe that dreams come true with hard work and determination - mine have.
In my limited amounts of free time, I am often found playing board/card games with a group of friends. I also play several computer games with friends, mostly World of Warcraft, but it has become much more infrequent. I like going to/watching movies but I don't often find the time to. I used to read a lot more before I started my PhD, but now my reading has become limited to 30 minutes before bed. I try to maintain an active lifestyle by going to the gym, going on walks. I don't play very many sports anymore, but I do enjoy watching tennis occasionally. I don't follow most mainstream sitcoms (in any language, despite growing up with Sun TV) but I do like some offbeat ones on Netflix. I love to travel (backpacking, short weekend getaways etc); I don't think my wanderlust will ever be fully sated, but I try! I love most animals, especially dogs, and I'd like to own one at some point.
I believe that in any relationship, mutual trust, and honest communication are key to making it work. My parents created this profile with a rather traditional outlook towards marriage but I want my partner to be my best friend and equal, and I want him to respect me the way I respect him. I want us to take life's decisions together.
